Fragile skin types with a visible web of capilliaries are particularly sensitive and reactive to environmental hazards and to heat, alcohol and smoking.
The primary goal of an effective care program for this condition should be based around strengthening the walls of the capillaries, with soothing, cooling products. There are a limited number of care options for this skin type. Vaso-dilatants should be totally avoided, as should the use of any occlusive or too active preparations.
Essentially, hypotonic gels are the optimal choice and are the basis of the Anna Lotan Alódem product line. Additional benefit can also be gained from a mild AHA skin renewal treatment, such as that found in New Age Control, that thickens the epidermis gradually making the capillaries less visible.

The first in a new series of products, Myrtle Mask is a velvety, hypotonic cooling mask for calming sensitive skin with broken capillaries (Couperose). Spreading easily to give an immediate calming, soothing sensation, this mask does not dry on the skins surface and is easily removed after 10-15 minutes of rest. May be used by itself on oily skin. When used on normal to dry skin, a supplementary day moisturizer or night cream is also recommended.

A calming gel mask especially designed to cool, sooth and relieve redness of the skin. It is especially suitable for sunburn and to complement treatments such as hair removal & peels. A wealth of polysaccharides - Sodium Hyaluronate; Saccharide Isomerate (Pentavitin) Aloe Vera and Mallow intensively hydrate the skin with moisture. Natural Jojoba wax acts as a skin emollient and prolongs the cooling sensation by reducing evaporation rate from the over heated skin. Calming botanical extracts of Marigold, Honeysuckle, Paeonia, Coneflower and Green Tea sooth the skin, significantly reducing discomfort within 15 -20 minutes. The special texture of the mask allows easy application for the required duration without any additional pads – even on vertical surfaces.
